Shy candle light
Brings me to life
Into my last breath’s lie
Into my last breath’s deathbed
Drowns me in pillar of light
The black candle light
Run, the only thing my mind wants to do
Run so death can't reach me
But over and over i wake up
In chamber of my torment
Morbid laugh behind my back
I opened my eyes and saw
Shadows enter the room of my doom
The evil himself
And monks blessed by Gods
Is this the day of my final judgement?
Along the shoreline of my mind
For eternal glory of his
Long live the king!

The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!! sachavonkarl74

I deliberately avoided the bandwagon jumping with these guys and that was wrong of me. I know that now and will punish myself accordingly...by making up for lost time and playing this often. These guys rule! Onanjath
Utterly indescribable new record from Greek metal band Locust Leaves features corkscrewing tempos, manic vocal shifts & dense arrangements. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 6, 2017

Gaerea's first release of "Unsettling Whispers" was in 2018, and since, they dared define a "black metal" niche of their own, they dared to walk a new path and stir shit up a bit in the realm of BM, this album is a masterpiece and a milestone proving that it can be done, provided the band can pull it off, and they did, oh they did! Gloomy, dark, post-BM sludgy whatever, it's Gaerea, and this one belongs in my BC collection, the end. sachavonkarl74
